The Debt

Some debts can not be paid with money…

Rather than except money, Dark Lleon forces those in debt to him to pay with physical labor.  Now he wants nothing more than to bed his new, beautiful indentured servant, the only woman who’s ever stirred more than his lust.  But he is bound by constraints of a contract not to coerce her to his bed lest he cause a scandal that would force him to forfeit his lands.

Taken from court to be wed, Torlan Becket is forced to pay her betrothed’s debt to his liege lord as an indentured servant.  Torlan the only woman at Dark’s castle discovers a plot against her new master.  And though determined not to dishonor herself by becoming the master concubine his caring and protective nature pulls at her heart and her loyalties.  Torlan becomes determined to thwart the conspiracy, even though the conspirators include her father and the man she is to wed.

Dark and Torlan must defeat the forces determined to keep them apart if they wish to find happiness.  But if they do they will learn some debts are best repaid with love.
